I cannot recommend Antonia Kirby highly enough. I first contacted Antonia in November 2024 to vary a Child Arrangement Order and she supported me all the way through to a final contested hearing in September 2025. From the very beginning, she was professional, compassionate, incredibly knowledgeable, and completely committed to achieving the best possible outcome for me and my son. This was the second time I had been involved in proceedings, and although I had legal aid previously, I was not eligible this time. Naturally, this caused me a lot of anxiety. Antonia was completely open and transparent about costs from the outset, which I really appreciated — there were never any surprises, and I always felt fully informed and in control of decisions being made. It was actually a much smoother experience this time around! The case itself was complex, lengthy, and emotionally exhausting, ultimately going all the way to a final contested hearing. Throughout the process, Antonia went above and beyond. She helped me with every single statement, to liaise with the police to obtain disclosures, contacted supervised contact centres, and ensured that every detail was carefully prepared. Her attention to detail was exceptional. Antonia also recommended an excellent barrister, Michele Friel, and worked incredibly closely with her throughout. By the time the final hearing came around, it genuinely felt as though nothing had been missed — Michele was fully briefed on every aspect of the case thanks to Antonia’s thorough preparation and communication. What stood out most to me was Antonia’s dedication and care. She was always incredibly prompt in responding, which made such a difference during an extremely anxious and stressful time. She was honest with me, even when things were difficult to hear, and I really respected that. I always felt supported, reassured, and guided in the right direction. Although the process was long and emotionally challenging, I truly don’t think I could have got through it without her. Antonia didn’t just feel like my solicitor — she felt like someone genuinely in my corner, advocating for me and my child every step of the way. At times it honestly felt like having a very knowledgeable, calm and supportive friend by my side. I am so relieved that proceedings are now over, but I will genuinely miss working with her. I could not have asked for a better person to represent me during one of the hardest periods of my life. She was absolutely exceptional, and I will always be grateful for everything she did for us.
