Lisa took me on as a Client in Jan '24, more or less 'blind', on the basis of a 'phone call from me in which I took her through a relatively bizarre chapter of events. I assessed at the time that she had decided to do so because she genuinely believed my story (which was true, by the way !), felt that I had been 'wronged' (importantly, from my point of view, both morally and in law), and wanted to help me professionally. Quite apart from being unfailingly professional throughout the past year, she has quite simply been terrific (as ... not unimportantly ... has her colleague, Chuma Quito). Never shy to tell me what I might not have wanted to hear (of course), she was always 100% empathetic regarding my case, invariably encouraging and necessarily cautious at times. I felt (knew, actually) that I had a thorough professional, adviser, empathiser, and guide. Lisa was always able to see, and impart through her connection with her Client, the lighter side of the issues that are invariably somewhat traumatising for a Client, and this was always enormously helpful and appreciated. Lisa was also spectacular at separating in her own mind ... and thereby in particular being able to do so in mine ... the legal technicalities from the layman's view of 'right and wrong'. Possibly not often said, but the 'journey' through the past year in an inevitably difficult and at times taxing Civil disagreement that became litigious (successfully, for me, with Lisa's help and guidance) has been nothing short of a pleasure. I am hugely grateful to Lisa, and therefore to the firm.
