We’re looking for a friendly and organised Legal Secretary to join our Wills, Trusts & Probate team. This is a great opportunity for a highly organised individual who enjoys working in a client focused, detail driven legal environment and being part of a close-knit, supportive team.

The Role

You will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to fee earners, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the department while delivering a high standard of client care.

Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Typing letters, legal documents, and correspondence
  • Preparing wills, probate and trust paperwork
  • Managing diaries, appointments, and meetings
  • Being a welcoming point of contact for clients, both in person and over the phone
  • Opening and maintaining client files and handling general administration
  • Helping with billing, time recording, and file organisation
  • Liaising with clients and third parties in a professional and approachable way
  • Maintaining files to the Lexcel standard

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience as a legal secretary or in a similar legal support role (Private Client experience is a plus)
  • Good IT skills and confident typing ability
  • Strong organisation skills and attention to detail
  • A positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to help
  • A caring, professional approach when dealing with clients
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
