We are recruiting a full time newly qualified solicitor/legal executive to join our expanding Court of Protection Property and Finance team.

Our specialist Court of Protection Property and Finance Team are experts in providing tailored legal advice and support to individuals who have diminished mental capacity. Our team pride themselves on their empathetic client-centric approach, ensuring their clients’ best interests are protected while they provide advice relating to deputyship applications, statutory wills, statutory gifting, and property & financial affairs management. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of cases where no two days or clients are the same.

You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver the best outcomes for our clients in matters relating to their private property and financial affairs. You will provide support to the Senior Solicitor in the team on the more complex Deputyships, with the opportunity to take the lead on your own caseload of matters also. We aim to provide the ideal environment for you to gain experience, expertise, and confidence at a sensible pace.

This position offers a fantastic opportunity for further professional growth and development. You will receive extensive mentoring and support from our team of professionals as you carve out your reputation as a trusted and reliable expert in this area of law, and progress towards a position of greater responsibility in the team.

We seek a newly qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive who will:

  • be calm under pressure, adopt a proactive approach to your work and have the ability to provide support to numerous colleagues across the team.
  • be numerate, understand the importance of accuracy and comfortable working with budgets and accounts.
  • be naturally caring, empathetic, and confident in engaging with very vulnerable individuals and their families who are often facing extremely difficult circumstances.
  • often need to work collaboratively with other professionals, such as doctors and social workers, to achieve the best possible outcomes for your clients.
  • have attention to detail, excellent communication skills and a passion for helping clients achieve their aims and the ability to think creatively.

We are aware that Court of Protection work is quite niche and therefore we would be happy to meet with someone who has previous experience working in the practice areas of Private Client, Property or Personal Injury/Clinical Negligence and is interested in an opportunity to specialise in a new area. We are happy to provide all appropriate training.

If you have the required skills and experience and are keen to advance your career as part of our specialist Court of Protection Property and Finance Team, then we would be delighted to hear from you.
