Christopher Houghton

Christopher qualified as a solicitor in 1969. He joined Moore & Tibbits in 1971, becoming a Partner in 1973. He has vast experience handling commercial and residential property transactions for both private and business clients.
Christopher is a highly respected and experienced property lawyer providing clients the reassurance that their property transaction will be handled with expertise and precision.
He advises on the many issues that arise, for instance those involving covenants, easements and Landlord and Tenant as well as the acquisition and sale of commercial property including drafting leases and dealing with lease renewals. Christopher has a vast portfolio of work he has carried out for local businesses in Warwick.
Christopher has acted for the UK’s leading market hall proprietors for 30 years and acted in the Landmark case of In Shops v Derby City Council.
Christopher is Managing Director of the Practice and is particularly pleased to have seen its expansion from approximately seven members of staff when he joined to now over fifty and also to have achieved the Lexcel Accreditation. In 2019, Christopher celebrated his 50th year on the roll of solicitors with The Law Society of England and Wales.
Christopher is Clerk to the Trustees of the following Warwick based charities:

- Warwick Apprenticing Charity,
- Warwick Provident Dispensary,
